Sam AM
Sam AM is a cafe based in Jersey City, NJ where I’ve worked with Sam Kirk, the owner of the cafe from the very beginning of it’s 10 year history. To reflect the warm atmosphere found in it's Sam AM Paulus Hook location, I created a visual language that was primarily made by hand. The neighborhood really embraced the brand and it’s aesthetics, and has created a really nice community of folks who like to take photos of it’s iconic coffee cup.

I drew all the illustrations, typography and I even created the brand logo as a lino-cut print, to echo woodcut of yesteryear.

I brought the farm fresh breakfast concept to life with original hand-drawn illustrations of anthropomorphic farm animals engaging in everyday activities like first dates and picnics.
